Major brands choose Continental

The performance of Continental tires is not only supported by users, but also by today’s most important motorcycle brands. There are many brands that choose our models as the original tire to dress their bikes. Recently BMW announced that its 2021 BMW R nineT Urban G/S would have the TKC 80 in its off-road configuration. But this is not the only model that come standard with Continental, today we wanted to do a review of the best 2021 bikes equipped with our tires.

1. BMW R 1250 GS and GS Adventure – TKC 80

The TKC 80 tires have been tested on long routes and even in competitions, provide great traction and possibilities in soft off-road terrain. That is one of the reasons why BMW has chosen the TKC 80 as the original tire to dress the BMW R 1250 GS and its Adventure version.

Taking advantage of its 40th anniversary celebration, BMW has revamped the BMW R 1250 GS and GS Adventure with improvements to the electronics, including DTC dynamic traction control, BMW Integral ABS Pro, new “Eco” riding mode and new 12V and USB-A voltage sockets with 5V power. BMW has also updated the standard and optional equipment, both models have different extra options such as height adjustment of the handlebars, the new Pro modes or seat heating driver and passenger among others.

The TKC 80 – a favorite in the adventure segment after 35 years on the market – are the ideal on/off tires for adventurous bikers who also ride long road sections. Their lugs on the tread generate enormous traction but without losing surprisingly good handling performance. The TKC 80 has been developed to offer a balanced orientation of 80% off-road and 20% asphalt.
