KTM Enters Small Adventure Segment
The KTM 390 Adventure is one of the most celebrated arrivals of the current season. KTM is renowned in the Adventure segment, with its Adventure and Super Adventure models because of their performance, technology, pure adventure orientation, and remarkable off-road capabilities. The wait for KTM to introduce a “mini Adventure” segment bike has been a long one, but it was worth it!
The all new 2020 KTM 390 Adventure model is geared towards young and rookie riders. It has the same one-cylinder 373 cc engine of the RC 390 and 390 Duke and keeps the 44 hp of power. Of special note are its amazing power-to-weight ratio, state-of-the-art technology (electronic throttle, on/off traction control, smartphone connectivity…) and top-tier components.
The 390 Adventure’s suspension and ergonomics are designed not only for long trips but also to be able to traverse off-road routes with great capacity: something that you could not miss in a KTM Adventure.
KTM Taps the Name You Know: Continental
The KTM 390 Adventure arrives standard with Continental TKC 70 tires: one of the most reputable and competent tires for Adventure motorcycles.
Thanks to its versatility, the TKC 70 adapts perfectly to the small Adventure because of its balanced orientation of 70% asphalt and 30% off-road. This tire is geared for trail lovers who usually do road, but don’t want to avoid off-road opportunities.
The TKC 70 has next generation technologies such as the ZeroDegree steel belt, MultiGrip compound, and RainGrip core techs which ensure an optimal grip on wet and slippery surfaces.
In addition to its great performance on the road, the TKC 70 displays a high degree of competency on dirt and gravel fire roads- the natural habitat of bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure.
At the international press presentation of the KTM 390 Adventure in Tenerife (Spain), media from all over the world were able to test the new motorbike in combination with the TKC 70 tires on different roads and trails of the Canary island. Enjoy the pics and the video!
