More than 200 HP! A Radical Crossover with HyperSport Tires

The BMW M 1000 XR has exactly 201 hp (148 kW), 31 hp (23 kW) more than the new S 1000 XR. Its maximum torque is 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm and its maximum speed reaches 14,600 rpm.

In addition to its powerful engine, this BMW M 1000 XR stands out for its appendages. The M wings and wind deflectors will allow you to brake later, avoid the lifting of the front wheel and accelerate earlier thanks to the downforce. Do not be fooled by its aesthetics, this bike can give a lot of war on the circuit.

This BMW M 1000 XR is the lightest motorcycle in its segment, specifically 223 kg. A very powerful and agile model thanks to its chassis: optimized chassis and suspension based on the S 1000 XR, additional adjustment of the base of the fork spring, M brakes with radial handbrake pump along with two 320 mm discs and 5 mm thick and lightweight forged aluminum wheels, among many other components.

And it’s no slouch when it comes to technology either: Brake Slide Assist system that allows the rider to drift through curves with a constant slide, perfectly readable 6.5-inch TFT display or five riding modes: Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race and Race Pro1-3. As well as the latest generation of Dynamic Traction Control DTC and DTC wheelie function with six-axis sensor box.

BMW M and Continental, the perfect combination

The letter M is synonymous worldwide with sportiness, as well as high performance, resulting in exclusive and very special models. That is why BMW has chosen to fit this BMW M 1000 XR with the ContiRaceAttack 2 Street.

The ContiRaceAttack 2 Street are HyperSport tires with BlackChilli technology, for a quick warm-up on the road; Multigrip, to provide more rolling resistance thanks to its harder central band; and Grip Limit Feedback, facilitating the maximum control of its lean limit. Available in 17″, it is a compound that offers maximum grip, ideal for the powerful BMW M 1000 XR.

Its heating is really fast for street use, although it also supports heaters for circuit use. In fact, the use of this compound is 50% street and 50% track use, ideal for this new BMW model. In addition, these tires can be combined with the ContiRaceAttack 2 medium (medium compound).

Without shoulder grooves to allow more grip at maximum lean angles, this compound can be adjusted for low pressures on the track. A tire with a really sporty casing and that BMW has not hesitated to put as standard for the new M 1000 XR and that, in this way, can enjoy it to the fullest.
