The New TKC 80 Is an Improvement on Its Predecessor
First introduced in 1985, Continental’s TKC 80 has earned legendary status among adventurers worldwide. After a brief absence from the U.S. market, this iconic tire returns—now with enhanced performance and durability.
The new TKC 80 builds on its iconic reputation, offering exceptional on- and off-road capabilities. Thanks to advancements in its construction process, design, and materials, it is the ideal choice for riders seeking versatility and reliability.
Increased Stability and Improved Wet Weather Grip
At first glance, the new TKC 80 might seem unchanged, as it retains the iconic tread pattern that adventurers know and trust. However, the updates lie beneath the surface. The sidewall design has been modernized to complement today’s motorcycles, while a new premium finish enhances its visual appeal.
Performance testing conducted by Continental revealed notable improvements: wet lap times have decreased by 3.8 seconds compared to the previous model, and overall stability has been enhanced. Despite these advancements, the TKC 80 maintains the off-road handling and durability that made it a favorite among riders.
One key innovation is the addition of a Breaker layer between the belt and carcass, further improving performance across various conditions.
