2. Developed by a professional enduro and motocross champion
The TKC 80 was designed and developed as a competition off-road tire for heavy off-road/Enduro bikes. It was developed after rigorous testing in collaboration with Richard Schalber, a multiple world champion in Enduro and Motocross. With Schalber’s input, the TKC 80 was designed to offer good self-cleaning, high levels of grip and good directional control on soft terrain. No wonder our tire is so competitive…
3. Trusted as original equipment by leading brands
The TKC 80 is highly rated by leading motorcycle manufacturers like BMW, KTM and Husqvarna.
These manufacturers use the TKC 80 as original equipment on the KTM 1090 Adventure R and 690, Husqvarna 701 Enduro, BMW R 1150 and 1200 GS. The fact that these manufacturers trust our tires says a lot about them and how good they perform. KTM states that they are the perfect tire to have off the dealer floor in the 1090 Adventure R, “the standard Continental TKC 80 Twinduros, sized 90/90-21 and 150/70-18, are durable, versatile and very happy to take you off the beaten track.”
4. Excellent on and off road performance
The TKC 80 is considered a 50/50 tire. It is a tire that performs well over any situations when considered as a dual-sport tire. Thanks to key features like differential spaced knobs for smooth and quiet ride, a thick carcass for adventure reliability, 4 Ply tread area for puncture resistance and an open tread design for soft surface performance; it provides excellent on and off road handling capabilities.
5. Available in a wide range of sizes
In all, the TKC 80 has a combined 25 front and rear tire sizes available. From 17’ to 21’ at the front, to 17’ to 18’ at the rear. This wide rage on sizes makes for wide fitment possibilities, from your small engine displacement enduro bike to full on sport adventure bikes like the BMW R 1200 GS. This wide range of sizes also makes the fitment on naked bikes and cruisers possible to give them that mean scrambler look, a very popular choice for the TKC 80.
