IMS: A Motorcycle Mecca
This past November 16-18 was the IMS Show in Long Beach, California. Long Beach was filled with motorcycles rumbling all over. Sunny blue skies, the smell of salt in the air and a comfortable 70 degrees made for an awesome weekend. There couldn’t be a better venue to host the IMS show… on the shores of the Pacific Ocean in a city with everything a motorcycle enthusiast needs.
If you’re not familiar with the IMS show, The Progressive® International Motorcycle Shows® is the world’s largest consumer motorcycle show tour. With 35 years of experience, the IMS Tour provides attendees with an all-access pass to the world of motorcycling. It connects hundreds of thousands of motorsports enthusiasts with top manufacturers and premier aftermarket brands. The IMS tour will visit seven cities in 2018-2019. This event is welcome to experienced, new and non-riders to preview hundreds of new 2, 3 and 4-wheel vehicles before they hit the dealerships. Attendees will also get to see vintage bikes; connect with other enthusiasts; watch stunt shows and experience new attractions – all in one weekend!
Motorcycle enthusiasts from all over Southern California flocked to the event to see the latest bikes, accessories, and aftermarket products.

Get a $25 discount when you buy at the Cycle Gear kiosk
Continental Motorcycle Tires is supporting this event for the third year in a row with an informational kiosk in the Cycle Gear Marketplace where many top-name brands can be found. At the Conti Kiosk you can get all the information on all of Continental’s great Core Technologies, as well as, get an up-close look at the most advanced tires in the market. To add some spice to the show, Continental teamed up with Cycle Gear to provide a $25 per tire discount on selected models of tires purchased at the show at the Cycle Gear booth.
There are so many great manufacturers attending the show as well as most of the OE motorcycle manufacturers like Indian, Harley Davidson, Triumph, Aprilia, Honda, Kawasaki, Honda and Yamaha with several others, as well.
And, if seeing all the cool motorcycles wasn’t enough, many of the motorcycle manufacturers were giving free demo rides to anyone who wanted to take their favorite bike for a test ride.
There were so many other fun things to do and checkout at the IMS Long Beach. Many custom bike builders displayed their latest creations down the aisle, some of them with the ContiTour. Others specialized on vintage, showing their awesome restorations. There were also massage chairs, trick pool shots and more.
The Continental booth was happy to giveaway free t-shirts to all who wanted to share their email address!
The Long Beach IMS show 2018 was fantastic! Thanks to awesome bikes, friendly people, free demo rides, good food, and hundreds of vendors. The weather was perfect and it made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
