From Long Beach to Mexico and back with ContiTour

You may not know the name Natalie Kleiner (@nataliekkleiner), but if you like whiskey or motorcycles you’ve no doubt seen her work. As a clothing designer and freelance artist, Natalie has designed everything from moto gear for Troy Lee designs to apparel for brands such as Johnny Walker, Bulleit Bourbon and Captain Morgan rum. She’s currently working on an interior remodeling project for Guinness beer at their Maryland brewery location. One of her oil paintings is displayed in the traveling 2021 Maiden Moto Art Show presented by Harley Davidson.

Natalie recently launched her own brand of moto apparel, KNK, offering moto soft goods for men and women and plans to expand her current offerings into a line of riding apparel for women. Natalie says, “I want this line to be fashion-focused riding gear. Ladies focus on fashion and they want riding apparel that looks good on and off the bike- not like a typical biker chick. This will be a very different, classy line.”

Growing up in Minnesota on a 160-acre farm, Natalie rode and learned to drive ATVs, tractors, and farm equipment. Riding motorcycles came easy. Her best friend rode a motorcycle and since the 2 friends did most of their adventures together, Natalie was soon behind the bars “of a little Honda something.” Next came her own yellow Harley Davidson Sportster Custom which was quickly “Natalized” in her favorite color (black) along with many other personalized modifications.

About 1 year later Natalie Kleiner was ready for something more and having “drunk the FXR Kool Aid” she sought the advice of friends and researched for about 2 years before finding the 1994 FXR she rides now. The bike was mostly stock when purchased but received a “total transformation– bars, wheels, seat, everything,” Natalie states.

Upon the recommendation of V Twin Visionary, Jeff Holt, Natalie fitted a set of Continental ContiTour tires and has been riding them ever since. While still living in California, Natalie rode the Conti-equipped FXR from Long Beach to Mexico and back on the famous Biltwell El Diablo Run, “The bike rides like a dream on the Tour tires; like butter!” Now living in Nashville, Natalie says the ContiTour tires are perfect for the curvy backcountry Tennessee roads, “good grip, hold up well, floats comfortably down the road and loves to be leaned into the curves,” Natalie Kleiner says. “I’ve ridden that bike all over on the ContiTour and in fact I’m currently on my second set.”
