The Successor to the ContiMotion Improves Handling, Grip and Stability
Continental is expanding its sport touring tire lineup with the new ContiMotion EVO, a tire developed for riders looking for a balance of riding enjoyment, safety and mileage. Its market launch will begin in September 2026.
The new model succeeds the popular ContiMotion and introduces improvements in several key areas. New carcass materials provide greater stability and consistency, while the optimized construction delivers a more agile response. Updated compounds further enhance performance on both dry and wet roads.
“With the ContiMotion EVO, we are offering a versatile sport touring tire. It combines intuitive handling with reliable grip in both dry and wet conditions, along with impressive mileage for everyday riding,” explains Christoph Ettenhuber, Head of Continental’s Motorcycle Tires business.

EasyHandling for More Intuitive Riding
The optimized hybrid silica compound improves wet grip without compromising mileage. This formulation also delivers confidence-inspiring performance in dry conditions and maintains its capabilities over a long service life, supported by a dedicated tread pattern.
To ensure stability at higher speeds, the tire uses a ZeroDegree steel-belt construction combined with the new carcass materials. The result is an evolution focused on four key benefits:
- Intuitive handling and high agility, thanks to EasyHandling and the optimized construction.
- Reliable grip in dry and wet conditions, provided by the hybrid silica compound.
- High mileage and long-lasting performance, resulting from the advanced compound and dedicated tread pattern.
- High-speed stability, supported by ZeroDegree technology and the new carcass.
“The ContiMotion EVO has been improved in key areas without losing the fundamental and well-established qualities of its predecessor. Riders benefit from a noticeably more agile tire,” adds Christoph Ettenhuber.
For Sport Touring, Naked, Roadster and Modern Classic Motorcycles
Compatible models include the BMW R 12 nineT, Triumph Daytona 660, Ducati SuperSport 950, Honda CB650R, Suzuki GSX-8TT and Yamaha MT-09, among others. As Ettenhuber points out, the new tire covers a broad selection of popular motorcycles in these segments.
