Which Tire to Choose
Each of these tires are equipped with the full range of Continental Motorcycle Tire technologies, from MultiGrip and Traction Skin that enables short to no warm up or break-in times to our ZeroDegree steel belts that provide increased durability. While not a true dual-compound tire, both the ContiRoadAttack 4 and ContiSportAttack 4 are manufactured in a precise way that results in a single compound tire we call MultiGrip, that’s harder in the center and softer on the sides, giving you the same performance as a dual-compound without the drawbacks. Riders have reported both tires to feel incredibly smooth and stable at high speeds with world-class grip throughout the life of the tire. The true decision comes down to what kind of riding you will be doing and what you’re looking at getting out of each tire.
ContiRoadAttack 4
While each tire’s performance is excellent and provides world-class grip, the ContiRoadAttack 4 will provide better grip in the wet with its updated tread design and wet grip technology as well as increased grip in the dry over the ContiRoadAttack 3 due to an all-new compound. With a solid backbone and ‘slick’ area on the upper tread shoulder, there is class-topping grip no matter whether you’re riding upright or in high lean corners.
The solid backbone through the center of the tire, along with the MultiGrip manufacturing process, helps increase the road life of the tire. Our engineers have worked closely with manufacturers such as BMW to test the ContiRoadAttack 4 on a wide variety of bikes to make sure that no matter what you ride, you get the best touring performance possible, for as long as possible.
ContiSportAttack 4
Whether you’re riding for the long haul or for the rush of adrenaline, we have a tire that fits your style. Both the ContiRoadAttack 4 and ContiSportAttack 4 will deliver an incredible riding experience but whether your focus is road life or performance, that decision is up to you. Since many bikes can fit either of these tires, we hope this helps narrow your decision and get you equipped with some new rubber and ready to ride. If you’re able to get a new set this month in time for the start of summer, be sure to kick off the riding season with some savings and take advantage of the $60 Mail-In Rebate active now through June 30th.
