From Instagram and Youtube to the Great Smoky Mountains
Rusty Baldwin a.k.a. @Rustybagger24 feels like “he’s on vacation everyday he comes to work”. Having started in the wash bay at Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson in Maryville, TN 6 years ago, Rusty, is now the dealership’s Internet Marketing Coordinator- a dream job. Rusty schedules social media posts, manages 4 websites, organizes store events and rides and pretty much anything else that needs to be done regarding marketing the HD brand and the dealership.
Rusty would encourage anyone interested in a motorcycle related career to “do it” by going to your local motorcycle dealership to ask for a job whether it be on the sales floor or starting in the wash bay as he did. “The opportunities are endless and the brotherhood you’ll find in the business is unlike any other” according to Rusty. “The most important thing is to be yourself”. Rusty advises, “be who you really are, and you’ll make friend with some of the best people on the planet who share the same passion for riding as you do”.

Having started on dirt bikes at age 5, Rusty’s current bike is a 2010 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic he bought at the dealership where he works. “It had 25K miles on it when I bought it 4 years ago”, and it now boasts over 72K miles of riding adventures on the clock. Pretty impressive miles for such a short time! His best riding adventure to date was a trip to Texas with his Dad and some friends to help Adam Sandoval break the world’s record for the longest parade of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Rusty was looking forward to his first trip to Sturgis in August but an ankle injury put that trip on hold until next year.
Rusty shares his passion for riding with the world on Instagram as @rustybagger24 and on YouTube as rustybagger24. What started as a personal page on Instagram has turned into 6,600 followers following Rusty’s moto adventures and even a page take-over for Memphis Shades. YouTube and motovlogging came a bit later after receiving a GoPro camera as a gift. Living in East Tennessee gives Rusty easy access to Deal’s Gap and the Great Smoky Mountains for some spectacular riding videos.
